Hair Affair: Renaming the Ponytail Holder

Signature-Hair-Of-Brad-Pitt-40

From time immemorial, ponytails have been sported by everyone from 12-year-old soccer players to bald, middle-aged IT guys. (But just so you know, Lou, the extra hair in back doesn’t help with the missing hair on top.) We all know this look is made possible by a small elastic band, known to some as a ponytail holder and to others as a hair tie or a hair band or a hair elastic…. You see the problem. So let’s tie this up, PopNamers. What can we all agree to call this elastic essential?
