Hot off the peppers: Naming Pepper X

A new scorching hot chili has dethroned the Carolina Reaper as the hottest pepper in the world. Ed Currie crossbred his former masterpiece, the Carolina Reaper, with a “mysterious” pepper that led to the creation of Pepper X. This small, greenish-yellow chili is said to be about 2.69 million units on the Scoville scale. For reference, a Carolina Reaper is 1.64 million units and a habanero is 100,000 units. Forget the heat, the recovery time alone from this burn can take 6 hours.

Ice cold milk can’t save you from this one PopNamers. Let’s spice up the name. What should we call Pepper X?
