Sacrifice the virgin! Renaming mocktails and non-alcoholic concoctions
Anyone else think it’s time to stop mocking the “mocktails” and sacrificing the “virgin”? Many restaurants and bars offer creative and interesting non-alcoholic drinks on their menus. However, using the terms “virgin” and “mocktail” feels dated and can leave drinkers feeling patronized. There are numerous reasons why people avoid alcohol, including pregnancy, driving, addiction, and calories, to name a few.
Grab your shakers and jiggers and let’s mix it up for the dry drinkers. What should we call these non-alcoholic concoctions?
