MoonLTE: Naming a space 4G network
While us earthlings must still contend with poor signals and low bars right outside our homes, NASA is gearing up to put 4G LTE network on the moon. Astronauts will be able to use the wireless network for sending data to earth, controlling the lunar rovers, real-time navigation over lunar geography, and even HD video streaming. While some joked that it won’t have any trees, buildings, or TV signals to interfere with the 4G signal, the network will have to contend with extreme temperatures, radiation, and the vacuum of space. Many people are over the moon about the idea, including us! If this network succeeds, the future possibilities are endless.
Make sure you have full bars for this one PopNamers. What would you name the wireless lunar network?
