Mail Order: Renaming Google’s Smart Reply Technology
The average person spends 13 hours per week reading and responding to email, which is coincidentally how long it would take to binge watch an entire season of Orange Is The New Black. Well it might be time to hit the couch, because yesterday Google released an AI program that can respond to your emails for you. Dubbed Smart Reply, it analyzes the content of your email to suggest a few very brief responses, like “let’s meet up tomorrow,” “working on my vacation plans,” or “I’m human, promise.”
PopNamers, if this turns out to be the greatest work-saving technology since the washing machine, it needs a smarter name than Smart Reply. What should we call this AI email response generator?
