Bye bye twitter birdie: Renaming X’s tweets
With tweets leaving the nest, X is flying far away from its blue bird theme. The social media platform says that tweets and re-tweets should be referred to as posts and re-posts. Let’s be honest though, people are still calling them tweets almost a year later. Tweeting made its way into our lexicon and uprooting it is no easy task.
We think a more trilling name than ‘post’ would make it much easier to adopt. Let’s hear you chirp, PopNamers. What should we call tweets? Sorry, posts.
