Bigger than Big Boned: Naming the Largest Dinosaur Ever
Last month scientists in Argentina unearthed fossilized bones said to be from the largest dinosaur—in fact the largest land animal of any species—to ever walk the earth. The 77-ton herbivore, which dates from the Late Cretaceous period, was an estimated 130 feet from head to tail-tip. Imagine: a creature as heavy as 14 African elephants and as long as three MTA buses, eating a salad.
