Where There’s Smoke There’s An Orange Haze? Naming the smokey aftermath of wildfires
Lately, there’s a burning question on everyone’s mind. Where’s all the smoke coming from? It’s definitely not coming from all the summer BBQs. The Canadian wildfires are causing a smokey haze in the Northeast. While we usually hear the raspy cries of Californians, this time it’s the New Yorkers. The smokey, orange gloom has made NYC look like a post-apocalyptic wasteland. The effects of the wildfire have made air quality dangerous, with a score of over 400 in New York at one point! That’s as hazardous as it’s ever been globally.
The hazardous orange smog from the wildfires has clearly made its claim to flame so let’s give it a name. Bring the heat PopNamers. What should we call this smokey, orange post-apocalyptic effect of wildfires?
