The Stocking That’s Stopping: Renaming the Netflix Socks
Many people complain about getting socks for the holidays, but anyone who found these stockings in their stocking would probably just cheer and start watching Orange Is the New Black. Recently Netflix unveiled step-by-step instructions to create socks with a sensor that detects when you’ve fallen asleep and sends a signal to your TV, pausing your show. And since Netflix will by default play the next episode in a season, these little guys could save you from waking up on your couch at dawn to countless finale spoilers. Genius. But such groundbreaking footwear needs an equally awe-inspiring name. So let’s sock it to ’em, PopNamers. What should we call these binge-enabling, remote-control-sock hybrids?
