How Now Brown Apple? Naming Blemish-Resistant Fruit

Apples

I bet Johnny Appleseed never saw this one coming: a Canadian company has suppressed the enzyme that discolors apples that have been cut or dropped. And, the USDA just gave them the grow-ahead to bring their patented “Arctic Granny” and “Arctic Golden” varieties to market in the states. Nutritionally equivalent to conventional apples and subject to the same amount of gravity as Newton’s apple, these tolerant tasties are sure to spruce up fresh fruit salads and after-school snacks alike. But as this trend spreads to orchards around the world, it’s going to need a crisp and hardy name. PopNamers, what should we call blemish-resistant fruit?
