Hue You Gonna Call: Renaming Pantone’s 2026 Color of the Year
Pantone has spoken! For 2026, the Color of the Year is… white? Sorry, “Cloud Dancer,” which is basically Pantone for oops, spilled my oat milk. This airy off-white promises to “soothe our tired senses,” but let’s be real: it’s giving emotionally supportive eggshell. It’s what you paint your walls when you want something different and still end up with rental-agreement beige.
So in this game, we’re renaming Pantone’s fancy-format nothing-color. PopNamers, it’s your time to shine. If orange can be Tanning Booth Tragedy and brown can be Grounds for Regret, then Cloud Dancer can definitely be Nothing but a White Lie. What should we call this barely-there, bless-its-heart excuse for a hue?
